In life, you are either preparing for a storm, in a storm or just getting out of a storm.   Adversity is a fact of life, and unfortunate events will happen throughout your entire life.   As long as you live, you will be tested, and it is how you respond to adversity that will determine what happens next.  In any situation, you can either meet the challenges head-on and overcome them, or you can just give up and let the issue consume and paralyze you.
